How you feel matters
Maths is a hierarachical subject requiring secure foundations in order to secure higher level topics (think Jenga). The curriculum is wide requiring a fast teaching pace to cover the content. Time pressures mean it is difficult for teachers to provide attention and specific feedback for every pupil. Too often pupils with learning gaps are left behind and can develop maths anxiety and negative mind set.
GCSE Maths matters
Achieving your Grade 4 provides the foundation for further education and career progression - tuition will help you close the gaps and secure the foundation you need to achieve this.
Many universities look for Grade 6 when distinguishing between capability - tuition will focus on developing your skills in order to answer the higher level and problem solving questions.
Reaching your potential matters
Students who are gifted in maths and may wish to study science, medicine or maths at Russell group universities - tuition will be focused on stretch and challenge practice, developing maths mastery and problem solving skills.
